Week 3, Day 7. Peach Blush--Chantecaille Wind

For Day 7 of the magical week that has been Seven Days of Peach Blush, I will look at Chantecaille Wind.  Like I've said before, Chantecaille makes lovely blushes (and eyeshadow, foundation, etc.).  They're silky smooth, long lasting.  Wind is no exception--it is decently pigmented and matte, yet sheer and glowy at the same time.

I don't know how they can formulate the blushes to do that.  It really is a special blush.  When I use Wind, my cheeks look like they've just been slightly kissed by the sun and wind, it gives me the most natural healthy glow.  The color is a rosy, nudey, peachy color.  Very easy to wear for everyone but the darkest skin.

As you can see from the swatches, it is browner than Reflex and the brownest of all the peaches this week.  If you haven't tried them, Chantecaille blushes have no scent and wear well.  All the ones I've tried are easy to apply and never look overdone.

That finishes up Seven Days of Peach Blush, I hope you enjoyed it.  Starting on the 10th, I'll be doing Seven days of Shimmery Blush.  Since I love shimmer, that should be a lot of fun.  Tell me your favorite shimmery blush, so I can include it!

Week 3, Day 2. Peach Blush--Chantecaille Delight

I'm getting more and more exicted about peach blushes.  Today's blush is by my favorite all-time brand, Chantecaille.  Their blushes are lovely to work with, as soft and smooth as they come, and give a glow that rivals those of Shu and Chanel blushes.  Firstly, I have to apologize for the gaping wound in the middle of my blush.  It usually lives in a Chantecaille palette and somewhere along the line of potting/depotting it got messed up.  Despite that, Delight is a beautiful peach blush.

The color looks a little more rosy in the pan than it does on the skin, where it looks more like a warmish rosy-peach. It's #2 in the swatch picture below.  Beautiful, right??

The Chantecaille blushes cost less than other high-end blushes, only $28 for a compact, only $21 for a refill if you're looking to fill a palette.  If you haven't tried these yet, give them a shot, the colors are pigmented, but wearable.  Here's a look at the rest of the week:

Tomorrow is #3, Chanel Reflex Joues Contraste!  I can't wait.  Let me know what your favorite peach blush is!

Week 3--Seven Days of Peach Blush

This week is peach.  I'll be honest, the color confuses me, is it a pale orange or what?  So according to my good friend Wikipedia, "Peach is a color that combines pink and orange colors."  I guess that helps a little.  As makeup (and blush) lovers, we all know that a beautiful peach blush is one of the basics of every blush wardrobe.  Keeping the definition in mind, This week I've tried to select a range of 7 peaches from light to dark, both matte and shimmery.  Some lean more pink, more orange, and more brown.  Hopefully they still fall in the range peach.

Here's the picture of this week's lucky blushes:

And they are:

1. Shu P Peach 47
2.  Chantecaille Delight
3.  Chanel Reflex
4.  Laura Mercier Orange Blossom
5.  Cargo Blu_Ray Peach
6.  Shu M Peach 44
7. Chantecaille Wind

Here's the swatches

The Seven Days of Peach begins today with Shu P Peach 47.  Yay!  Tell me what your favorite peach is!

Week 1, Day 3. Bright Pink Blush--Chantecaille Ecstasy

Although the picture looks more berry, I'd still call this blush bright pink. This little beauty is Chantecaille Ecstasy and is the reddest of my bright pink blushes this week. Another matte blush, Ecstasy has the excellent quality that I'm used to from Chantecaille. It is wonderfully smooth with medium pigmentation, which helps to avoid clown-cheeks.

Chantecaille makes lovely, easy to wear blushes.  They don't make crazy colors, only more natural looking shades.  This is one of Chantecaille's more bold colors and would probably look good on a variety of women.  It seems pretty neutral, leaning neither yellow or blue, just a pretty pinkish red. As you can see from the swatches, Ecstasy (#3) is much more red than any of the other colors this week.

Do you think you could pull it off?  I'm a firm believer that anyone can pull off anything with the right application and blending.  I look forward to talking tomorrow about another gorgeous bright pink blush--Bobbi Brown Pale Pink.

I'm crazy for pink blush, all pink blushes. Really, there isn't much left to say on that subject except that I'm utterly fixated on it. If I see one in the store, it will be mine. So to get my career as a blogger started with a bang, I'm kicking it off with my favorite category of blush. BRIGHT PINK. 3. Chantecaille Ecstasy
4. Bobbi Brown Pale Pink
